Black Alumina

EuroBlastTech black alumina is an artificial corundum abrasive made from high-quality bauxite and iron filings through high-temperature smelting. Compared to brown alumina, black alumina has better toughness and lower breakage rate, especially suitable for precision grinding and polishing processes. Widely used in surface treatment of stainless steel, copper-aluminum alloys and other non-ferrous metals, as well as cleaning and polishing of precision castings.

FAQ

What's the difference between black alumina and brown alumina?
Black alumina has better toughness and lower breakage rate, suitable for precision grinding; brown alumina has slightly higher hardness and stronger cutting power, suitable for rough processing. Black alumina has more recycling times and lower long-term cost.
What materials is black alumina suitable for?
Especially suitable for surface treatment of stainless steel, copper-aluminum alloys and other non-ferrous metals, as well as cleaning and polishing of precision castings. Unlike steel shot, it does not cause rust contamination.
How many times can black alumina be recycled?
Due to good toughness and low breakage rate, black alumina can be recycled 5-8 times, more economical than brown alumina (3-5 times). Regular dust screening and new material replenishment required.
